As a part of your child’s education at Oak Lodge School, we promote personal wellbeing and development through a comprehensive Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education programme. PSHE education is the curriculum subject that gives young people the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live safe, healthy, productive lives and meet their full potential.
From September 2020 onwards, your child’s class will be taking part in a new curriculum which focuses on Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) introduced by the government. This will build on from the primary curriculum and will better equip your child with the information they need to make safe, informed and healthy decisions as they progress through adult life. This includes looking at the following content: families, respectful relationships including friendships, online and media, being safe, intimate and sexual relationships including sexual health.
